Well, we knew it was going to happen... I just peeked at the forecast for the next week and I finally saw a day where the forecasted high is below freezing. Bummer. This doesn't mean that the fishing will slow, it just means that we'll deal with ice in the guides and colder fingers, that's all. We've been lucky here this year to go this long without a serious cold-snap. The last couple years it seems like it's happened shortly after Halloween. We're still in fishing mode. Before we know it, that will switch to tying mode (and fishing on those rare, warm Winter days). I don't want to admit that it's coming.
Although the water temps are slowly dropping, the fishing has remained very good. It's not so cold (yet) that drastic measures have to be taken, such as super-heavy tips and different fly choices. While that time is coming, I'm not changing anything yet.
For those of you that enjoy a good fishing flick, there are a few new ones out that are noteworthy. "Off the Grid", "A River Why" and "Connect" are all out on DVD. You can buy them here, at this link...

When you retreat into tying mode, I would like to put in a request for a post sharing more on your sparse-tied intruder. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving.
You're not fooling me sip, Amanda heard " skinny dipping", is the ONLY reason to watch the " river why" did I rent thus absolutely terrible movie
ajlaf,
Will do. We may do it as one of the shop flies. If not, I can throw something up. It's pretty easy.
Jackson,
Haha, you're not the first to rent a movie simply because of a certain young lady. Why do you think I sat through "Tomb Raider"?? It's a good movie, but I think it's one that you have more of an appreciation for after you read the book first. My two cents...
